With over 145 years of service to individuals in the region, Wernle Youth & Family Treatment Center has provided essential support and care for children and adolescents facing mental health and substance use challenges. Currently, their operations are temporarily suspended as they undergo a transition period.Key Features: Campus and Facilities: Spacious 100-Acre Campus: The center is situated on a large, scenic campus that includes: Athletic Amenities: Basketball court and football field. Community Spaces: Comfortable areas for relaxation and socialization. Therapeutic Programs: Specialized Therapeutic Offerings: A variety of programs designed to support emotional and psychological healing, including: Pottery Music therapy Other creative outlets for self-expression. Supportive Environment: Welcoming Atmosphere: Facilities such as the main residential hall and the Hawk Center provided a nurturing environment where children felt respected and heard during their treatment. Trauma-Informed Care: Programs were developed specifically for children who have experienced trauma, including sexual abuse, utilizing evidence-based practices to ensure emotional support throughout their recovery.
