The Wake Forest Alano Club is comprised of compassionate individuals dedicated to recovery from alcoholism and addiction. Having successfully faced these challenges, our members are committed to helping others who still suffer in the community. They generously share their experience, strength, and hope through a network of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and other 12-step meetings, reaching out a helping hand to those who have nowhere else to turn.Our History Foundation:The club was founded in 2007 by a group of individuals in Wake Forest seeking support on their journeys of battling addiction and alcoholism. Growth:The club continued to grow over the years, gaining non-profit status in 2008 and relocating several times as membership climbed. Permanent Home:In 2015, it purchased its permanent home at 932 S Cross St in Youngsville. Today, the WAC offers over a dozen weekly Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and other 12-step recovery meetings to Wake Forest, Youngsville, Rolesville, and the surrounding communities. Our Mission The Wake Forest Alano Club, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization serving Wake Forest, Youngsville, Rolesville, and the surrounding communities. Its primary purpose is to provide a safe space for people with substance use disorders to meet. It offers Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, online meetings, and other recovery assistance to those who suffer from addiction and support to their friends and family.
