LTC treats addictive illnesses from a disease model. LTC shares with the persons served that they were born with this disease and may have it his/her entire life. LTC informs the persons served that there are things that he/she can do, to live a successful life without addiction. It is the responsibility of LTC to provide the persons served with the tools and teach them how to use them, but the level of success will be determined on how/if the person served uses the tools.One-on-one individualized care is a priority at Life Treatment Centers. Throughout the entire treatment process, a professional addictions counselor will provide valuable life skill development, vocational rehabilitation and placement, as well as medical assistance.Case management begins as soon as a client walks through our doors and continues, as needed, well after a restored individual exits. Life Treatment Centers case managing counselors are dedicated to providing the best possible care and committed to their clients.Life Treatment Centers offer specialized treatment sessions; for women, for veterans and for gamblers.For women: They have a group that provides a safe setting to discuss a variety of topics including: self esteem & self respect, relationships, abuse and traumatic experiences.For Veterans: They provide specialized treatment sessions to address their individual needs. Gives vets the opportunity to share their personal experiences with other vets. Strengthens peer support. Resurrects Military bonding, offers a unique support system to enhance recovery. Groups are facilitated by staff who are veterans.For Gamblers: This group focuses on specific needs of the gambler that are addressed by counselors trained in this area. Supervision is provided by a NCGC II Therapist.Life Treatment Centers offers a Residential Social Detoxification Program. They do not provide any medications to manage withdrawal symptoms. While in Detox the individual will see a physician and get a general physical completed. The individual will participate in recovery activities. The individual will meet with an Intake Specialist and see what kind of treatment is best for their needs.
