Buprenorphine is a prescription drug ( brand name Subutex, among others), which falls under a class of medications known as mixed opioid agonist-antagonists. It is used as a replacement for other opiates that someone is addicted to. So, Buprenorphine detox has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat opioid addiction. Buprenorphine detox works by attaching itself to the brain's receptors, which cause the general feeling of calmness and euphoria. It then blocks the effects of other opiates leading to a decrease of cravings.
Psychotropic medicine is used in the treatment of psychiatric conditions. Its use alters the
chemical patterns in the brain, which affect behaviors and moods of an individual. Most treatment
facilities use it as antidepressants, anti-anxiety, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and ADHD drugs.
Lithium is an excellent example of psychotropic medication used in many treatment centers. The
efficient balancing of chemical levels in the brain makes it a suitable method for treating drug
Vivitrol is an injectable Naltrexone drug used to treat alcohol and opioid addiction. It mainly acts by blocking the opioid receptors leading to lesser pain relief or feel-good feelings that are usually associated with opioid addiction. Vivitrol has zero psychoactive properties as such its use never leads to dependence. It is commonly used alongside several other therapy practices to help an addict to overcome opioid addiction or alcohol. Naltrexone is an opioid antagonist. It works by blocking the action of opioid s

Unfortunately, it has been reported that patients often have trouble keeping up with
the treatment using naltrexone.
Because of non-compliances, its usage has become less effective. Naltrexone
injectable long-term drug received FDA approval in 2010. Its use has become quite
popular since the approval. It is only injected monthly, eliminating the need to do
away with the daily dosages by eliminating the need for daily dosing.
Other than medication administered to the patients, behavioral therapies are
necessary for heroin treatment. A combination of both behavioral therapies and
medication often produce positive results.

Our licensed medical staff work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to monitor you— ensuring your safety and comfort. We are your ally in recovery, we will guide you through the detox process and show you the next steps thereafter.
When you are admitted to detox, you will be medically assessed and clinically evaluated. Based on factors such as your substance of choice, usage history, frequency of use, quantity of substances used, medical history, etc… It will be determined whether or not your detox process will require a medical taper to ease your withdrawal symptoms. A “medical taper” is when our medical professionals use small doses of narcotic medications to assist you through your detox, which in many cases is necessary to safely detox you off of certain substances…
Residential Inpatient Program
Our Residential Inpatient program was created to help you delve into the reason why you began depending on substances… The underlying issues are often the culprit driving your addiction. Our amazing therapists help you recognize the clinical work that is needed to aid you in taking back your freedom from the unresolved issues that have been weighing you down. We truly believe that undiagnosed or untreated conditions like depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, etc. can be the forces that allowed your addiction to take hold of your life. For this reason, we treat these disorders simultaneous to your substance use disorder… We found that treating one problem without addressing the other leads to an unsuccessful recovery… The therapy we provide comes in many forms and types, our psychologists expertly employ a variety of techniques to best treat you.
During your residential inpatient treatment, we introduce you to programs of recovery. Mostly, 12-step programs of recovery are what we recommend, however you are free to choose any program of recovery that works best for you. We want you to recover in a way that is authentic. Because we want your recovery to be successful, we introduce you to support groups and meetings during your treatment with us. We bring 12-step meetings into our facility to inspire you and open the discussion on experience, strength, and hope. Our plan is to help you get integrated with a supportive recovery community, a community that will continue to provide support even after you have completed our program.
Our individual therapy sessions happen daily, this is because we want you to take advantage of the healing opportunities that are available to you at The Best Detox. Our psychologists work one-on-one with you to provide transformative experiences utilizing many styles of therapy. Beyond traditional psychotherapy, our therapists implement cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-resolution therapy, process therapy, and other therapeutic techniques. We find that a multi-faceted approach helps to encourage the most progress.
At The Best Detox, we keep the group therapy model in high regard. Group therapy is so effective because it offers our clients multiple perspectives, multiple opinions, a sense of community, and overwhelming support. We employ various types of therapy and focused groups like dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), process groups, experiential therapy, psychodynamic therapy, etc. Group therapy is essential for bringing about the supportive, community environment that is vital for recovery.
