NAD+ is short for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. It’s a compound found deep within our cells that aids in energy transfer and helps regulate how our cells age. Some experts say NAD+ is as essential to our anatomy as oxygen because studies suggest it accomplishes a number of key functions, including repairing DNA, maintaining cell health, producing energy and boosting our immune system.
Buprenorphine is a prescription drug ( brand name Subutex, among others), which falls under a class of medications known as mixed opioid agonist-antagonists. It is used as a replacement for other opiates that someone is addicted to. So, Buprenorphine detox has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat opioid addiction. Buprenorphine detox works by attaching itself to the brain's receptors, which cause the general feeling of calmness and euphoria. It then blocks the effects of other opiates leading to a decrease of cravings.
Psychotropic medicine is used in the treatment of psychiatric conditions. Its use alters the chemical patterns in the brain, which affect behaviors and moods of an individual. Most treatment facilities use it as antidepressants, anti-anxiety, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and ADHD drugs. Lithium is an excellent example of psychotropic medication used in many treatment centers. The efficient balancing of chemical levels in the brain makes it a suitable method for treating drug addiction cases.
Vivitrol is an injectable Naltrexone drug used to treat alcohol and opioid addiction. It mainly acts by blocking the opioid receptors leading to lesser pain relief or feel-good feelings that are usually associated with opioid addiction. Vivitrol has zero psychoactive properties as such its use never leads to dependence. It is commonly used alongside several other therapy practices to help an addict to overcome opioid addiction or alcohol. Before starting VIVITROL, you must be opioid-free for at least 7-10 days to avoid sudden opioid withdrawal symptoms.
Naltrexone is an opioid antagonist. It works by blocking the action of opioids in the body. It is not sedating or addictive. It doesn’t result to physical dependence. Unfortunately, it has been reported that patients often have trouble keeping up with the treatment using naltrexone. Because of non-compliances, its usage has become less effective. Naltrexone injectable long-term drug received FDA approval in 2010. Its use has become quite popular since the approval. It is only injected monthly, eliminating the need to do away with the daily dosages by eliminating the need for daily dosing. Other than medication administered to the patients, behavioral therapies are necessary for heroin treatment. A combination of both behavioral therapies and medication often produce positive results.

Medical detox helps the body remain healthy as it navigates the detox process. For people at risk of developing serious health symptoms, medical detox can be lifesaving. Even for people in reasonably good health, however, medical detox makes the process easier.
So what happens during medical detox? You’ll be carefully monitored by a medical team who will promptly respond to medical needs such as dehydration, pain, or electrolyte imbalances. They’ll also be able to reassure you that your symptoms are a normal part of the addiction detox process—not a sign that you won’t be able to successfully recover.

Art therapy doesn’t mean taking art classes, and it certainly doesn’t require you to subject your art to the judgment of others. We’ll work with you to find the right strategy. In most cases, you’ll talk about your feelings while engaged in art such as painting or drawing. Your therapist might also give you homework assignments. These art projects can help you think about your feelings in new ways. You might, for example, find that much of your art involves fires. This could provide a clue to your emotions that discussion does not offer.

Mental Health Therapy
Every addict has a story. Often, addiction begins with a mental health issue. About half of all people with an addiction also have a mental health condition. This is called a dual diagnosis. For these people, addiction becomes a way to mask symptoms of mental illness and to self-medicate when traditional mental health medications do not work. Even among people who do not have a mental health condition, mental health issues such as stress, low self-esteem, boredom, and loneliness can lead down the path of addiction. Mental health therapy, sometimes called psychotherapy, helps you begin putting the pieces back together.
Future Now Detox’s revolutionary West Palm Beach detox and addiction treatment center offers comprehensive addiction treatment, including mental health therapy.

There’s now a revolutionary medical treatment that aims to treat the disease of addiction. NAD/Brain Restoration Plus treatment can help addicts navigate detox and get back on track. We’re proud to be the only West Palm Beach area addiction center offering this revolutionary treatment. Let us show you how restoring your brain can restore your life.
