Detox Services

MEDICALLY-ASSISTED DETOX

We provide patient-specific regimented detox medications to help clear the patientís system of drugs or alcohol and keep them medically safe during the initial days of detox.

PHARMACOGENOMICS

We utilize genetic testing for patients who are currently on, or have received certain medications in the past, such as medications for anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders. This simple mouth swab helps clinicians understand how the DNA of a patient will respond to the medications used in the treatment of addiction to drugs. This provides a roadmap of how the patientís body responds to the medications to help streamline the treatment regimen.

TRANSCRANIAL MAGNETIC STIMULATION

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, or TMS, is a procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate specific areas of the brain. This modality is used to treat symptoms of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, addiction disorders, and more.

NICOTINAMIDE ADENINE DINUCLEOTIDE (NAD)

NAD is a naturally occurring co-enzyme of niacin that helps cells in our bodies produce energy. As a person abuses drugs and alcohol, their natural amount of NAD is depleted. This makes it more difficult for their body to convert the energy that is broken down from food. Our regimens incorporate the infusion of NAD, which assists with brain function, DNA repair, and repair signals between molecules for cellular communication. These infusions not only help with addiction and substance abuse disorder but also help with disorders such as: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), Neurodegenerative diseases

LOW DOSE NALTREXONE & NALTREXONE IMPLANTS:

This medication has been used for decades in the treatment of addiction and substance abuse disorder; however, the old Naltrexone left many undesired side-effects. The new recommended dosing of Naltrexone has shown wide-spread efficacy in the treatment of these disorders. Several mechanisms of action of LDN have been reported in the literature. The following are 3 of the most prominent actions of LDN: 1) action on opioid receptors to increase the release of ?-endorphins; 2) ability to reduce pro-inflammatory cytokines and increase anti-inflammatory cytokines; and 3) regulation of the opioid growth factor (OGF)/opioid growth factor receptors (OGFr) axis. This is a regimen that we utilize in our program, itís used to treat the addiction disorders. The Naltrexone implant requires a 12-minute procedure to place the medication under the skin. This has a lasting effect for up to 90 days of controlling the craving for drugs and alcohol. This gives more time for clinicians and patients to work through the causes of the addiction and gives precious time for the brain to heal.

Treatment Focus

BRAIN MAPPING

Each patient will receive a brain map upon admission to the program. Brain mapping is a process that creates a layout of the brain, detailing the areas that are responsible for certain actions. This process helps clinicians see which areas of the brain need special attention so they can better tailor their treatment.

INFRARED SAUNA

Infrared sauna detoxification is something that few people know about, but itís worth understanding because it will be the wave of the future. In fact, infrared sauna detox programs were used as part of the protocol for 9/11 rescue workers who had become ill from breathing in fumes and chemicals during their work. Other notable institutions that are familiar with the benefits of sauna therapy include Mayo Clinic, the World Health Organization, and NASA. Itís safe, effective and natural, removes drug toxins from the body, removes environmental toxins from the body, improves overall health and wellness, has no side effects, can be continued after addiction treatment, and works on both the mind and body.

EEG NEUROFEEDBACK

This is a non-invasive modality that rebalances the brain by shifting the way it produces and distributes its electrical energy, making abnormal brainwave patterns normal again. This helps the brain learn to improve its own regulation by using software that automatically detects when the brainwaves patterns are normal, and feeds that information back to the patient in real-time in the form of a game, movie, or sound.

BRAIN FOODS

Ascend Detox and Recovery has partnered with Dr. Towny Robinson to incorporate EnLyte D into the medication protocol for each patient. Brain food normalizes neurotransmitter production to prevent drug-seeking behavior and relapse in addicted patients.

IV INFUSIONS

Treating with IV Therapy using the following: NAD, LDN, Ketamine.

MEDICAL FOODS

In partnership with Dr. Towny Robinson, Ascend will incorporate brain food to normalize neurotransmitter production to prevent drug-seeking behavior and relapse in addicted patients.

Therapy Programs

SPIRITUAL THERAPY

While in treatment, it is of vast importance to connect with ones ďconscienceĒ and spiritual side.

We feel that connection will lead to better decision making for a more honest and integritous lifestyle, living not only for the benefit of oneself but others.

CBD THERAPY

Recently, CBD has received a lot of attention due to its potential to treat drug and alcohol abuse. Literature focuses on the pharmacotherapeutic potential of CBD in terms of its relevance in prevention of relapse in drug use. CBD has been proven to be effective in targeting risk states of drug use relapse by reducing anxiety and stress related to drug cues and mediating anti-depressant activity. In addition to that, CBD has an impact on the brain circuitry that is responsible for drug craving and seeking behaviours triggered by drug-related context and stress.
