: When pregnancy, postpartum, or the post-adoption periods arrive, along with symptoms of anxiety and depression, it can leave a parent feeling guilty, isolated and inadequate. At the AMITA Health Perinatal IOP at Alexian Brothers Women & Children’s Hospital, parents can receive treatment that promotes bonding with baby, mental health healing, and positive parenting. Designed for individuals whose mental health condition is not likely to respond to traditional outpatient care, and necessitates an integrated program of clinical services for at least 3 hrs/day, 2-5 days/week.
